Review; Inglot Gel Liner

Feast your eyes on this baby. Inglot Gel Liner 77. This is the blackest liner in the world. It's 100% waterproof, and does not budge.
Did I mention it's safe for the water line? ;)

This my personal one, I have 3 for my kit,2 black ones and  1 brown one. All my clients have commented on HOW black this is, and how it was still there the morning after their night out. (Bold! :) )

It's a great consistency to work it, not to thin, not too thick. Perfect. The only downside, it does dry out quite quickly, but this is solved by popping some Duraline into it. Also available from Inglot for €10.

I've inserted a picture of myself wearing it, its just so black, can't say enough good things about this liner. I prefer it to Bobbi Brown Gel liner, it knocks it out of the park!!

Oh, and it's only €15 ;)

Review: Real Techniques Stippling Brush

Sorry about the ridiculous delay!! Extremely busy week!!

Behold, my lovlies. Real Techniques Stipling Brush. This line was brought out by Samantha Champan of Pixiwoo. If you don't know who she is, look her up. You won't be disappointed!

Onto the brush, this brush is made of synthetic taklon bristles. It blends powders & creams into the skin like a dream. It's quite dense so it creates an airbrushed finish to the skin.

I have 3 of these,  2 for my kit and 1 for myself. My clients always ask me about this brush, and the real techniques range, they comment on how soft these are. They are a professional brush band, made accessible to all.

Sam, you made a cracker of a brush here! Another must have!

This is available from Boots stores for around €13.

Back to the Aul Reliable's!

We're all on the constant look for the "Holy Grail" foundation, I thought I'd found tthe one, but alas, I seem to have gotten paler as the summer went on. (.... I know!)

So I reverted back to an old reliable. Revlon Colour Stay. This stuff id the business for oily/combo skin. And it goes super pale, like moi!

Revlon Colour Stay In Ivory

In the picture, you can see how pale it is. Lovely natural matte finish. Lasts all day. Says 24 hour wear, I won't be one to test this! Ick! :)

Love it! :)

What foundation have you been loving recently?

Face of the day

Righteo, here's the face of the day. I felt like doing something different than a brown smokey eye, so I went totally out of my comfort zone and went for red! :)
This will look absolutely GORGEOUS on green eyes!

Products used:
FACE:
Armani Luminous Silk shade 2
Bobbi Brown Creamy Concealer in Porcelain
Nars Deep Throat Blush
NYX Blush in Taupe

Eyes:
MAC Painterly Paint Pot
Glamour Doll Eyes Pigment in Lovers Lane
MAC Sketch e/s through the crease
Inglot 77 Gel Liner
Clinique High Impact Mascara
Brows: MAC Omega e/s
MAC Fascinating eye pencil under the brow

Carmex on the lips :)

I know the Glamour Doll eyes pigments are hard to get, however the Sleek Sunset Palette has lots of red tones in it. Or Inglot have a few, Eyeshadow 449, or Pure Pigment in 81 or 54.

Don't be afraid to wear colour, it's only makeup :)

How to: 1950's Pin Up Look

Debs season kicked off this week for me. I had the pleasure of doing gorgeous Jessica's hair and makeup. Jess is my boyfriends sister, so basically like a little sister to me :)

We opted to do a 50's inspired look as we thought we needed something classy and elegant to go with her dress. She suited the look down to a tee. This look can be used for bridal looks too. (It's a personal favourite of mine!)

How to get Jessica's 1950's look:
  • For a debs makeup, we need the makeup to be long lasting. Jess has oily skin, so I began with a silicone primer, Smashbox Photo Finish
  • For foundation, I used MAC Matchmaster foundation in shadde 3.0. I blended this down the neck to make sure it was all blended in properly.
  • For contour, I used MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation in NC45. I think using a darker foundation can look better as it looks more natural.
  • For concealer, I used Collection 2000 lasting perfection concealer in Medium. I popped this under the eyes in a V shape, รก la Kim Kardashian!
  • For brows I used Mystery eyeshadow from MAC. Jess has strong brows anyway, so we just needed to fill in any gaps. (Major brow envy!)
  • On the eyes, I used Urban Decay Primer Potion, then I packed Brule eyeshadow onto the lid for a matte base.
  • Through the crease I used 3 shadows. I began lightly buffing Copperplate eyeshadow from  to create a natural shadow. Then I put Espresso over the top, and finally to darken it even more, I put a teeny tiny bit of Handwritten on top. I used Nylon eyeshadow as an inner tear duct highlight and as a brow bone highlight.
  • For liner I used Inglot Gel Liner in 77. I did a medium flick with it. ( I used a MAC 210 brush!)
  • On the lips I used Dubbonet Lipstick from MAC as a base, blotted, then applied Russian Red from MAC over the top. We applied around 6(!!) layers of lipstick (blotting in between each later.) I used Lipcote Lipstain over the top to make sure it stayed all night.
  • For blush I used Suede Blush from Sleek, mixed with a bit of Dainty from MAC
  • I powdered the skin with Laura Mercier Translucent Powder.

Top tips for Debs Makeup:
  • THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE EVER!: Please for the love of god make sure your foundation doesn't contain a high SPF. It will flash back light and make you look like a ghost!
  • Use long wearing products!
  • If you're wearing tan, match it to your chest, you'll be one uniform colour then!

Hope everyone who's going to a debs has a great time! :)
