My new lovlieness..

So after a crappy week, my boyfriend decided to treat me. (Bless) Feast your eyes on this baby. The Sleek Au Natural Palette.

I've been eyeing this up for a while now, and when it came to my door, I was more than happy to calmly open the package  rip it open.

I Instagrammed that shit!

Swatches, sorry it's a shite picture, but you can see the pigment in these. Amazing quality without the huge price tag. I'll be taking this away on my trip to Paris, and I'm heading to Galway this weekend. I'm sure I'll get lots of use out of this baby.

Stay tuned for looks!:)
Available from www.beautyemporium.ie or www.cloud10beauty.com for a mere €10.

Review; Inglot Gel Liner

Feast your eyes on this baby. Inglot Gel Liner 77. This is the blackest liner in the world. It's 100% waterproof, and does not budge.
Did I mention it's safe for the water line? ;)

This my personal one, I have 3 for my kit,2 black ones and  1 brown one. All my clients have commented on HOW black this is, and how it was still there the morning after their night out. (Bold! :) )

It's a great consistency to work it, not to thin, not too thick. Perfect. The only downside, it does dry out quite quickly, but this is solved by popping some Duraline into it. Also available from Inglot for €10.

I've inserted a picture of myself wearing it, its just so black, can't say enough good things about this liner. I prefer it to Bobbi Brown Gel liner, it knocks it out of the park!!

Oh, and it's only €15 ;)

Back to the Aul Reliable's!

We're all on the constant look for the "Holy Grail" foundation, I thought I'd found tthe one, but alas, I seem to have gotten paler as the summer went on. (.... I know!)

So I reverted back to an old reliable. Revlon Colour Stay. This stuff id the business for oily/combo skin. And it goes super pale, like moi!

Revlon Colour Stay In Ivory

In the picture, you can see how pale it is. Lovely natural matte finish. Lasts all day. Says 24 hour wear, I won't be one to test this! Ick! :)

Love it! :)

What foundation have you been loving recently?

I'm obsessed.. with Paris!

Myself and the boy are going to go to Paris in October. The excitement is just too much to handle. I've been searching through the internet for hotels and places to eat. So any suggestions are more than welcome! :)

I've just popped together a post on why I love this city so much. I think the pictures speak for themselves! :)

I'm going to be dressed like this. Parisian chic!

Eat here!

And here!

Ahhhh swoon! Huge big smiley face. So excited. Love to hear from anyone who has gone.

Have a lovely Tuesday

My Favourite Blush .. at the min!! :)

This baby is called Solar Ray from the MAC Heavenly Creatures collection. It's a beautiful peachy colour. MAC describe it as "peach and gold melange." Swatched, its not as pigmented as in the pan, but it gives a gorgeous peachy/golden sheen. Not dissimilar to NARS Orgasm.

As you can see on the swatch, its quite sheer, but it does give a lovely glow, perfect for a quick wake me up face!

This is €23 and is limited edition.

Anyone else pick up anything from the collection?

Hair Saviors!

Blame me? Nah, I'm going to blame my hairdresser for this catastrophe. For those who don't know, I've bright bright blonde hair. Been getting it highlighted for 5 years now, and recently started to get a blonde tint in it. So the lead up to my sisters wedding, I needed to get it dyed, so I did, but the hairdresser should have stopped bleaching it and used a high lift ( so my other hairdresser friend says)

So, all that bleaching has lead to me looking like this :
(facial expression included)
So yeah, my hair has broken around 1 inch from my root. It's shocking, and quite upsetting. It's basically all the hair around my crown. To top this off, when I wash my hair, & brush it afterwards, it would fall out  in clumps, again, very upsetting.
So, I asked my friend what should I do. She gave my a list of SAVIORS.

Don't know how much, robbed on my niece! :)

€19

€35

€28

€3

So we have:

A wide toothed comb: this has saved my hair so much, it doesn't drag at the hair, which stops loads falling out

Kerastase Bain De Force: This shampoo is the business. You don't need too much, but it makes the hair super soft. Lather's very well. €19

Kerastase Masque Force:  I don't know where I'd be without this treatment. (Probably bald) I use this as a conditioner, but you can leave it in the hair as a treatment for hours. This is pricey, but it's done such an amazing job at revitalising my hair, I don't know what I'd do without it! €35

Redken Anti Snap:   This is another leave it treatment that you put on damp hair. You need to blow dry this into the hair to activate it. When I don't use this my hair isn't nearly as nice as it should be! Well worth the investment. Have it 2 months and haven't used half of it!! :) €28

Johnsons Baby No More Tangles: If I had to pick one thing out of everything above to use forever, it would be this. The spray in conditioner detangles the driest of hairs ( I've used it on my niece with wild curly hair!) It's deadly!!

I'm going to go back to the hairdresser when I pluck up the courage :( These have definitely helped with the state of my hair. Hope this helps anyone with shitty hairdressing/botch job :)

On the hunt again!

When the new moisturizer from Vichy came out, I thought I'd hit the jackpot. A moisturizer for oily skin thats dehydrated?? Eh Win!!

Pic via www.beaut.ie

Eh, no. I was wrong. When we started our love affair, this stuff worked wonders, but now, things have changed, I feel like I've been cheated on. The moisturizer has starterd to lie on top of the skin, not absorbing, and then it started to ball. Like, when you use a rubber to erase out pencil, that kind of stuff that's left behind. I've read on several other blogs that this has happened too.

It's so disappointing. I'm over it, I'll find a new love in my life! Anyone have any recommendations??

How To: DIY Studded Lita's

I bought these rip off Jeffery Campell Lita's in Shoe Rack on Wicklow St. They were €30. STEAL! :)

Riiight, so what you will need!

  • The Shoes
  • A Drill with a small drill  bit
  • Super Glue
  • Studs!

 The Process!

Get your shoes and drill the holes into them, get your screw back studs and pop them in.   If you are having trouble putting the back through, put the back of the stud through the hole to widen it.

Repeat process until you are happy with the result.

The heel- screw the backs onto the studs (very tedious), get super glue and arrange them on the heel.

The finished product!!

Im extremely happy with them, even if it was a burden! Each shoe took me around an hour!
